Kawasaki Heavy Industries has added a couple of more models to its 125cc arsenal in Japan - the dual-purpose KLX125 and supermoto D-TRACKER.
Both machines, which are unlikely to make it to Australia, are powered by unassuming air-cooled SOHC fuel-injected five-speed electric-start engines, and are Kawasaki's attempt to up the ante in Japan's burgeoning 125cc market, which is gaining popularity not only among new licence holders, but those big-bike owners looking for a second motorcycle to put in the garage.
And we all know the nimble 125s make for excellent commuters, which is why, for example, the Honda CBR125RW is such a popular mount in Australia.
The KLX125 has 19-inch and 16-inch front and rear rubber respectively, while the D-TRACKER has 14-inch fare at both ends.
The smallest road-registerable KLX in Australia is the $7499 KLX250S, which is one of seven models in the company's learner approved range.
