A teaser video showing a supercharger spooling up and overlaid with Kawasaki’s Z logo is the first hint that a naked bike will join the company’s force-fed range.
The accompanying text reads: “Supercharged breaking news: more Kawasaki major news arrives soon – feel the force?”
There’s no news on whether the Z model will share the supercharged 998cc engine already used in the three faired H2 versions, or whether it will come in a different capacity altogether.

Kawasaki showed a picture of a naked “Soul Charger” concept four years ago and hinted then the supercharger could be scaled up or down.
In either case the bike is expected to be shown in some form at the annual EICMA show in Milan in November 2019.
