Kawasaki re-enters full-dress tourer market

V-twin revives old brand name

Kawasaki has been releasing pics of its 2009 models and the biggest surprise is this, a new full-dress tourer.

Called the Voyager, it's based on a 1700cc four-valve single OHC V-twin, with six-speed gearbox and belt final drive.

The name was last used by the company on its Z1300-based full-dress tourer of the 1980s.

We understand it comes with a linked braking system, plus a sound system that's compatible with MP3 players.

No prices or local import dates are available, but we understand the machine is exciting a lot of interest in the USA, which will be its prime market.
