Training more than 8,000 motorcyclists a year, DECA has teamed up with Kawasaki, where companies are keen to promote their products and services in the deal, while at the same time spruiking the idea of a safer riding practices.
The Kawasaki Ninja 250R is the Australia's number one-selling LAMS (Learner Approved Motorcycle Scheme) road motorcycle, and together with the brand-new KLX250SF Supermoto bike will form DECA's training fleet.
"DECA will progressively change over its training fleet to feature the Kawasaki models," said lan Mearns, DECA General Manager Sales and Marketing, which will give it a strong hand to play against HART rider training, which run exclusively with Honda product.
"We are very pleased to enter into an agreement with such a progressive company as Kawasaki Australia, especially given the company's dedication towards improving the safety of motorcycle riders. Its range is very well-equipped and by early 2011, will have the most comprehensive line-up of ABS-equipped road motorcycles in Australia."
According a media statement -- as part of the new agreement -- the following protocols will be implemented; DECA will promote Kawasaki products to its motorcycle training participants while Kawasaki will promote DECA and its motorcycle training courses to current and future motorcycle owners within Victoria and Tasmania. The relationship will also involve a number of local Kawasaki dealers who will provide parts and service support and display new motorcycles at DECA Branches.
"DECA is a major training company with strong ideas about improving rider training and safety ... their operations and infrastructure are highly regarded," said Kawasaki Australia's National Sales and Marketing Manager, Robert Walker.
"We're looking forward to new riders being able to learn on some great Kawasaki models - with professional trainers - which will lead to more recognition of the Kawasaki brand name as one that customers can rely on.
"This relationship with DECA is new and important and we have been impressed with their professionalism -- we are proud to have our brand name associated with DECA."
