Kawasaki H2

Now that we’ve seen the H2R track bike, the attention now turns to the road-going H2 sibling – and the teaser videos have begun….

Kawasaki looks set to unveil the street-based version of the supercharged H2R at the EICMA motorcycle show in Milan next month, and has now started to ramp up the teaser campaign accordingly.

The H2R got its airing at Intermot, complete with the ‘fastest production motorcycle’ tag, and just what we can expect specs-wise for the H2 is matter of guesswork. Power will be tamer for sure, but just show much remains to be seen.

The attached photo is a silhouette of the H23, and it looks very similar to the H2R except that it appears to have twin silencers instead of the H2R’s single unit. They look quite bulky as well and not particularly shapely. Subsequent teaser videos before EICM should tell us more.

The first video below shows the H2R being punted around a race track. For Aussies longing for a look at the supercharged H2R, Kawasaki Australia has one and will be opening its headquarters in Rydalmere (Sydney) on October 11 from 10:00am until 11:00am for a viewing. The event is free, but pre-arranged tickets are required to attend for Kawasaki Team Green Australia members.
