Kawasaki adds two 650s to its LAMS range

Say hello to the Ninja 650RL and ER-6NL

Kawasaki has added two new models to its LAMs or Learner Approved Motorcycle fleet, the Ninja 650 RL and ER-6nL.

Both are powered by 649cc twin cylinder engines that meet the power-to-weight ratio for Learner Approved Motorcycles in most states of Australia -- hence the 'L' at the end of their names.

The Ninja 650RL is offered in either lime green or candy plasma blue and is "a smooth and rider-friendly" bike that is "complemented by sensational Ninja Supersport styling". Both good things for learners.

The Kawasaki ER-6nL is a naked bike with street machine looks, boasting six-spoke wheels, vertical headlights and a stacked instrument panel. Kawasaki calls it "the most stunning looking middleweight on the market – bar none."

Both models are powered by a 649cc liquid-cooled parallel twin cylinder motor hooked up to a six-speed gearbox, which have a "smooth delivery of torque which is ideally suited for less experienced riders," according to the Japanese bike company.

The Ninja 650RL and ER-6nL join the Ninja 250R, KLR650 and the KLX250S in Kawasaki's learner approved motorcycle range.
