June 15: International Ride To Work Day
Show your supportThis is probably a little bit of preaching to the converted, but Monday, June 15 is International Ride to Work Day, and the BikeSales Network is encouraging those with motorcycles to come out in force to support the initiative.
What started as a US-based event has now spread international, based on the inherent advantages that motorcycles and scooters have over other forms of private and public transportation.
By riding your motorcycle or scooter to work on June 15, you will also have the opportunity to win some prizes through a photo contest being run by Motorcycling Australia (MA).
For those people who live in Melbourne, visit the MA office on June 15 between 8:30 - 9:30am to have your photo taken - with your motorcycle, obviously -- and you will go into the running to win a pair of Andy Strapz waterproof gauntlets.
The MA office is located at 147 Montague Street, South Melbourne.
