Jesse James returning to roots

The custom motorcycle builder has announced the return of West Coast Choppers, the business that became an empire before he closed up shop in 2010

Jesse James will reopen West Coast Choppers, the custom motorcycle business that became bigger than Ben Hur before he closed it down in November, 2010 after 17 years in operation.

Since then, James – the ex-husband of Hollywood star Sandra Bullock – has been churning out hot rods in Austin, Texas, but the urge to return to his roots just became to overwhelming.

“I have always said that West Coast Choppers is more than a motorcycle shop or a logo or a place or a TV show,” said James on the WCC Facebook page. “It's a state of mind, and a way of life for me.

“I have to say some of these responses made me tear up, and made me smile. I also loved all the old friends who... chimed in that helped along the way. So thankful for each and every one of you.

“Over the years I have had many opportunities to sell West Coast Choppers, but all of this confirms in my heart that I will never let it go.”

So get your order in for a new bike…
