Jarvis dominates extreme enduro

Won the obstacle-laden three-hour event in Melbourne by over a lap, ahead of fellow moto trials alumnus Trevor Campbell and local enduro star Matt Phillips

British extreme enduro specialist Graham Jarvis has taken the sword to Australia’s best off-road riders by claiming an emphatic victory at the Wildwood Rock Extreme Enduro in Tullamarine (Vic) on Sunday, November 20.

Jarvis, a moto trials champion before switching focus to extreme enduros, was in a class of his own on a track peppered with a diverse range of obstacles -- rocks, bricks, logs, balancing beams, tyres and dismantled ute trays -- riding a Husaberg TE300 two-stroke to victory ahead of Trevor Campbell, Matt Phillips, Daniel Milner and 2010 champion Mitcham Harper.

The 36-year-old takes back a $10,000 cheque to Briton for his swashbuckling performance.

“I didn't know what to expect,” Jarvis said. “The rain made it more difficult and it is a hard event, but it’s a great event. I really hope to come back next year and have another crack at it.”
