Australian Jack Miller will ride for the Ducati factory outfit in 2021 after signing a contract with the Bologna-based manufacturer.
Miller and Ducati have inked a deal for the 2021 MotoGP season with an option to extend the contract for 2022.
The signing comes after Pramac Racing boss, Francesco Guidotti, said last week that a deal was ‘close’. Miller has spent three seasons with Pramac, the satellite Ducati squad.
“First of all, I want to thank Paolo Campinoti, Francesco Guidotti and all the Pramac Racing Team for the great support I have received in the two and a half years spent together,” said Miller in a statement. “It is an honour for me to continue my MotoGP career with the Borgo Panigale manufacturer and I would like to thank all the Ducati management for having trusted me and given me this incredible opportunity.”

The 25-year-old from Townsville made his MotoGP debut in 2015, joining Pramac in 2018. In 2019, he finished 8th overall and notched up five podiums. The Ducati bosses have kept a close eye on Miller throughout his time with the factory-supported Pramac team.
“Since he arrived in the Pramac Racing Team, Jack has grown steadily, proving himself as one of the fastest and most talented riders in the championships,” said Claudio Domenicali, Ducati CEO. “We are happy he has agreed to ride the official Desmosedici GP bike of the Ducati team next year.”
Miller will complete the 2020 season with Pramac, before suiting up for the factory team in 2021. The 2020 season was delayed with the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, but Dorna is aiming to have all three classes back on track by late July.
