To mark 2019 International Women’s Day, here’s a story from 2014 we’ve dug out of the archives about the power of motorcycles.
A commissioned by Harley-Davidson says that women who ride motorcycles – their own or someone else’s presumably – are happier than women who don't ride.
The study, conducted by an American global consultant company called Kelton, interviewed 1013 adult female riders and 1016 adult female non-riders via an email invitation and online survey.

More than half of the respondents cited their motorcycle as a key source of happiness, and 74 per cent said their lives have improved since they started riding. In addition, they stated that:
Beyond positively impacting a woman's sense of self, the results indicated that motorcycle riding may improve relationships. Women riders reported better communication with their "significant other" (60 per cent of riders versus 38 per cent of non-riders) and better physical intimacy (51 per cent of riders versus 35 per cent of non-riders).
