Moto Guzzi is the latest motorcycle brand to jump on the Bobber bandwagon, with the firm unveiling a new Sport version of its V9 Bobber.
Complete with fork gaitors, a solo seat and oversized tyres, the look is accentuated by a low and flat drag-style handlebar, a lowered headlight and a chopped front guard. Putting the Sport into the Bobber is the pair of adjustable Öhlins rear shocks, as well as a louder, though presumably still ADR-approved, exhaust silencer. The claimed performance from the 853cc 90-degree V-twin is 60hp, it has a seat height of 808mm and a kerb weight of 199kg.
Moto Guzzi also had two production versions of its forthcoming V85 TT adventure bike on display in Cologne, but is making us wait until its home show in Milan for official specs and details.
While we already know the 90-degree transverse air-cooled 850cc engine is good for a claimed 80hp, we’re still yet to learn what the so called all-terrain bike weighs. As well as the red, yellow and white version first seen in concept form this time last year, Moto Guzzi had a more sedate steely blue version on display in Cologne, complete with a raft of adventure-style accessories which will no doubt be made available for the 850cc soft roader.
The more conservative looking machine wore the obligatory aluminium panniers and top box, boasted a smoke-coloured screen and more road-oriented tyres.
