Following on from the unveiling of its new powerplant at Daytona Bike Week on Saturday, March 9, Indian Motorcycles has announced it will be showcasing the engine – and a cavalcade of classic Indian models – at the 2013 Ulysses Club AGM, due to be staged in Maryborough, Qld, over April 15-21.
As the official launch of Indian Motorcycle in Australia, the Aussie debut will also mark the start of the Indian Motorcycle ‘pre-sales event’, with initial buyers able to place a deposit on their new Indian.
According to Indian Motorcycles’ Country Manager, Peter Harvey, the Ulysses AGM represented the ideal opportunity to launch the reborn brand Downunder. “We chose the Ulysses AGM to launch the Indian bikes into Australia as Ulysses members have a strong appreciation of motorcycling and the Indian brand, and this event provides us with a stage befitting a new release of this magnitude,” he said.
Buyers who place a deposit on a new Indian will also receive an exclusive pre-sale Indian Owner’s Kit. “We want to recognise those customers who want to be among the first to own the all-new Indian Motorcycle and bring the brand to life in Australia, and for this we offering an exclusive pre-sell package,” Mr Harvey added.
The unveiling of the all-new engine will serve as a modern counterpoint to the timeline of vintage Indians on show at the event, which will feature models from as far back as the early 1900s and from all of the marque’s significant eras.
