Indian set to reveal new engine

Indian Motorcycle will unveil the new engine set to power its much-anticipated 2014 range this coming Saturday at Daytona Bike Week

As the buzz surrounding the imminent new models from reborn American marque Indian Motorcycle builds, the marque has announced it will be unveiling the engine set to power the new line-up on Saturday, March 9, at a special media event at the start of this year’s Daytona Bike Week in Florida, USA.

While details of the new powerplant are scarce, it’s safe to say Indian will be remaining true to its V-twin heritage. The curtain will be raised on the engine at Dirty Harry’s Pub in the heart of Daytona Beach, with celebrity guest Mike Wolfe – diehard Indian fan and host of the History Channel’s American Pickers TV series – in attendance.

The reveal will be a highlight among a packed line-up of events for Indian at Bike Week, as the Polaris-owned marque inches closer towards its re-entry to the market, re-igniting its historic rivalry with arch nemesis Harley-Davidson in the process.

Bikesales Network will bring you more details of the engine after the presentation on March 9.
