Indian Motorcycle has announced a couple of additions to its model line-up for the 2018 model year: the Springfield Dark Horse and Roadmaster Elite. The Scout Bobber, announced a few weeks ago, is also a 2018 machine.
The Springfield Dark Horse ($34,995 rideaway) is a blacked-out bagger. Similar to other Dark Horse models, the Springfield Dark Horse features matte black paint with gloss black details. There's an open fender to showcase the new 19-inch 10-spoke front wheel, while its quick-release (removable) windshield features a blacked-out bracket.
A limited production model, the ultra-premium $49,995 rideaway Roadmaster Elite features custom-inspired two-tone candy paint, with real 23K gold leaf badging on the tank and lowers. The bike comes standard with a large number of premium amenities, including the Ride Command system, a 300-watt audio system, passenger armrests, billet aluminium passenger and driver floorboards, touring console and pinnacle mirrors.
Also receiving a noticeable upgrade is the Chieftain Dark Horse with the aforementioned 19-inch 10-spoke blacked-out wheel, and the Ride Command infotainment system is now standard.
Other model highlights for 2018:
“The Roadmaster Elite and Springfield Dark Horse are two fantastic motorcycles, with two different attitudes. The Roadmaster Elite packs all the bells and whistles perfect for riders looking for the best of the best, while the Dark Horse brings blacked-out style to the Springfield line,” said Peter Harvey, Country Manager – Indian Motorcycle Australia and New Zealand.
“Beyond these two offerings, we have elevated each and every model – listening to our consumers to bring new features and colours they have asked for.”
The 2018 Indian Motorcycle range will be available in Australia and New Zealand from
October, 2017.
