Indian Chief Vintage Limited Edition

A small-volume – just 35 versions will be made – version of the Chief Vintage, complete with two-tone livery and plenty of chrome accents
The Polaris-owned Indian Motorcycles has launched its 2013 range of cruisers, which includes a limited-edition version of the Chief Vintage.
While this is one Indian that won’t reach Australia – in fact, we probably won’t be seeing Indians at all until completely new models are unveiled in 2014 – it’s quite an elegant piece of work with its chrome wheels and pegs, leather saddlebags, and two-tone Pearl White/Thunder Black livery.
Mechanically, it’s no different to the standard Chief Vintage, with a 105 cubic inch air-cooled V-twin, high-tensile steel frame, a 41mm fork, single shock, belt drive, and two-into-one stainless-steel exhaust system. Dry weight is 281kg.
Just 35 units will be built, retailing for around $38K in North America.
As well as the limited-edition, the 2013 Indian line-up will be completed by the Chief Vintage, Chief Dark Horse and Chief Classic.
