When Volkswagen decided to buy a large stake in Suzuki, the question loomed large - will the German car maker leverage its new Japanese partner to build VW-badged motorcycles?
We've seen very little evidence of this save for an electric scooter, but will other car makers have a go?
Designer Min Seong Kim is an optimist, and he reckons Hyundai could have a go at building a motorcycle - albeit about 50 years into the future.
This concept design is based around the idea of a flexible chassis, one that mimics muscle. Not so much in the traditional sense (though the motor appears to be a V8!) but rather the bodywork/frame of the Hyundai bike would expand and contract on the go, allowing for an organic riding experience.
The theory is that when turning corners the chassis relaxes and flexes in order to corner easily, while in a straight line and under full throttle the body becomes rigid by contracting, improving power delivery to the road.
The idea is radical to say the least, and we're still scratching our heads trying to think of a material that could enable such changes in rigidity.
Ultra-wide wheels and tyres suggest this enclosed motorcycle is a top end sports bike, but rather than tell you what we think of the design, we want your thoughts. Leave your opinion in the comments below.
