Husqvarna has pulled the covers off the all-new Vitpilen 801 roadster which follows the release of the Svartpilen 801 earlier this year.
The new machine replaces the Vitpilen 701 and adopts a sleek naked bike persona compared to the Svartpilen’s scrambler style. The new bike is identifiable by the new and distinctive Bi-LED projector lens headlight.
Powered by a 799cc DOHC parallel-twin engine, the new Vitpilen is capable of 105hp and 87Nm – identical figures to the Svartpilen.
Husqvarna claims the engine itself weighs just 52kg, while the active crankcase evacuation and a semi-dry sump lubrication system contribute to the claimed 15,000km service intervals.
Elsewhere, the Vitpilen features a full suite of electronics including a 5-inch TFT display, multiple riding modes, quickshift, cornering ABS, cornering traction control, and smartphone connectivity courtesy of the Ride Husqvarna app.
Running gear includes 17-inch cast alloy wheels with Michelin Road 6 tyres, WP APEX suspension with 140mm and 150mm of travel front and rear respectivley, J.Juan braking components, and a ‘power assist’ slipper clutch.
Australian availability and pricing is yet to be revealed, however the Vitpilen 801 is expected to hit dealer floors internationally from November 2024.
