Husqvarna unveils electric E-Pilen with swappable battery
With the electric revolution underway, Husqvarna has thrown its hat into the ring with the E-PilenHusqvarna has unveiled an electric motorcycle concept with swappable battery technology, with the new E-Pilen offering a glimpse at the brand’s electric future.
The electric concept is the first look at an electric street model from the KTM Group and it features the all hallmarks of the brand’s current street range, which includes the Vitpilen and Svartpilen.

With a power output of 8kW and a range of 100km, the E-Pilen concept has been developed as an urban commuter and for leisure riding.
The Husqvarna E-Pilen features a modular and swappable battery system, allowing the power pack to be exchanged, extending the appeal and utility of electric motorcycles. The KTM Group recently signed a letter of intent with Piaggio, Honda, and Yamaha to collaborate on swappable battery technologies.
Husqvarna says its aim is to develop new products ‘accessible to the broadest possible spectrum of riders’, and development of its future E-mobility range is ‘well-advanced’, with more information expected in the near future.
As part of the push for electric mobility, Husqvarna will also strategically expand its dealer presence in urban and metropolitan areas.
