Husqvarna joins BMW at Coastline
Established Queensland dealer Coastline BMW has welcomed the Husqvarna dirt bike range to its showroom floorIn an Australian first, a sole BMW motorcycle dealership has opened its doors to the Husqvarna range of dirt bikes, the union reflecting the two
marques' corporate link.
Coastline BMW Motorrad, located at Currimundi on Queensland's Sunshine Coast, officially welcomed the Husqvarna
brand on Saturday, February 5, and now offers the full line-up of models from both manufacturers, from luxury tourers to razor-sharp motocrossers.
Husqvarna enduro aces Glenn Kearney and Luka Bussa were on hand for the opening, signing autographs and chatting to attendees about the
merits of Husqvarna's products.
BMW purchased Husqvarna from MV Agusta in mid 2007, and since than has overhauled its manufacturing facilities and product lines, while
maintaining Husky's global headquarters in Varese, northern Italy. The incorporation of Husqvarna's products under Coastline's roof could well be a taste of what's to come, as BMW continues to guide Husqvarna's course to prosperity. Last year Husqvarna recorded a sales increase of 21.1 per cent over the corresponding 2009 figure, with 1614 motorcycles sold.
