Husqvarna and Husaberg reunite

Following the acquisition of Husqvarna by KTM boss Stefan Pierer, we've heard bits and pieces about the company's future – but now it's been all laid on the line

Husaberg and Husqvarna are reuniting, bringing back together “what came out of shared roots 25  years ago”.

Husqvarna was recently purchased by KTM boss Stefan Pierer, and since then he has been making noises about his future plans for the marque’s street bike range (no more Nuda, for a start) while emphasising “traditional strengths” of developing state-of-the-art enduro and motocross lines.

That’s now going to happen via a combination of Husqvarna’s “own rich heritage with Husaberg’s state-of-the-art technology”.

The new Husqvarna enduro, motocross and Sportminicycles line-up will be presented in Sweden in early October, 2013, and then unveiled to the public at the international EICMA show in Milan in early November, 2013.

As of October 2013, the new group company "Husqvarna Sportmotorcyle GmbH" based in Mattighofen, Austria, will be fully operational in the production and sale of the new model range to the Husqvarna network of dealers and distributors.
