Husky 2017 enduro range unveiled

Husqvarna has lifted the lid off its 'new from the ground up' enduro range
At an official ceremony in the brand's original homeland of Huskvarna, Sweden, Husqvarna Motorcycles has unveiled a new range of four-stroke and two-stroke enduro models simply bristling with updates and improvements.
Husky says the new range has been "redesigned from the ground up for 2017", with machines that "set the benchmark in terms of handling, power, weight and aesthetics".
The range comprises the two-stroke TX 125, TE 250 and TE 300 and the four-stroke FE 250, FE 350, FE 450 and FE 501. All the models are said to benefit from a lighter and more compact engine, while the four-stroke models now come with a traction control system as standard.
The 2017 enduro fleet feature new frames with optimised geometry, higher torsional rigidity and reduced longitudinal stiffness. The WP Xplor 48 fork is matched to a new swingarm, while the three-piece subframe is made from composite materials and the bodywork is all new.
The two-stroke range benefits from complete new powerplants, with updated power valve systems, a new 38mm Mikuni TMX carburettor, electric start systems and a counterbalance shaft for reduced vibration.
The TX 125 also receives a new exhaust system, a new piston and a redesigned gearbox, while the TE 250 and TE 300 each receive a new exhaust header. Weight savings have been made across the range, says Husqvarna.
The four-stroke range features a new engine design focussing on mass centralisation, with increased power and torque across the line-up. Traction control is now standard while each model comes with a standard map switch and a faster Keihin EMS.
The engines themselves have revised injector positioning, new header pipes, shorter mufflers, and new crankshafts, along with longer service intervals (now 135 hours) and "massive" weight savings.
The 2017 Husqvarna enduro range will hit European dealerships from the end of this month (July).
