Stark Future has declared itself the fastest-growing company in Spain after posting a record month of profitability, a result that could inspire the struggling EV industry.
In a press release, the privately held company revealed it achieved €18.3 million in revenue and €2.8 million in EBITDA (earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortisation) in April 2025.
According to the Barcelona-based company, this milestone signifies the growing "viability and sustainability" of the EV market.
CEO Anton Wass highlighted that Stark’s rapid growth has outpaced many established EV brands.
“This achievement comes barely two years after Stark Future’s first commercial sales, remarkably faster than incumbent EV leaders, and more resembling the growth rates of some of the world’s most successful technology firms in history,” Wass boasted. “This result validates our disciplined approach and marks an important step towards consistent profitability.”
Electric motorcycles have struggled to gain traction, with the FCAI reporting just 429 new electric motorcycle sales in Australia last year. Many startups, including electric dirt bike brand Alta, which folded in 2018, have failed to capture a sustainable audience.
Zero and LiveWire (a Harley-Davidson spin-off) are the dominant players in the electric bike space, while Royal Enfield, which has a stake in Stark, plans to enter the market in 2026 with its Flying Flea C6. However, LiveWire's global sales were sluggish in early 2025, with just 33 units sold in Q1 and a 42% revenue drop compared to the previous year.
Despite these challenges, Stark Future has found a niche in motocross, where performance and practicality trump aesthetics and emotion.
Stark’s success stems from the VARG MX model, which revolutionised electric motocross bikes and converted many sceptics. Recently, the brand launched the VARG EX enduro model, which is road-registrable.
Wass attributes Stark’s rapid profitability to the company’s “game-changing” technology, developed at “competitive costs,” while maintaining production in Europe.
Since its inception in 2019, Stark Future has expanded to over 400 dealers in 50 countries. The company has also entered the security and military markets and remains determined to build electric bikes that outperform their traditional counterparts in “every way.”
