The ranks of Honda's side-by-side (SSV) range have swelled yet again, with the marque recently unveiling its new and limited-edition Pioneer 1000-3 LE.
The three-seater comes bristling with cutting-edge technology, including the all-new Intelligent 4-wheel drive (I-4WD) system that comprises traction control, hill-start assist, electronic brake force distribution and a diff lock.
The four-wheel drive system redirects torque to the wheel with the greater grip; Honda says it reduces steer effort and kickback compared to a standard diff lock.
The SSV is powered by a 999cc parallel-twin engine with the go sent to the ground via a six-speed automatic Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT). The drive system also comes with a sports mode with manual paddle shifters to affect gear changes.
Riding on Fox QS3 shocks and wheels shod with Maxxis Bighorn radials, the Pioneer comes with a protective bumper, aluminium A-arm guards and a skid plate, while the painted bodywork, red springs and A-arms and beefy alloy rims underline the model's limited-edition status.
The Pioneer 1000-3 LE is available in Matte Stealth Grey Metallic and retails for $27,749.
It sits alongside the Pioneer 1000-3 and Pioneer 1000-5, along with various other Pioneer models.
