Motorcycle thefts fell by six percent in America last year, according to report by the National Insurance Crime Bureau.
A total of 46,667 motorcycles were reported stolen in 2011, compared with 49,791 in 2010. That’s in contrast to new bike sales, which rose slightly to 440,899.
The most frequently stolen motorcycle was a Honda with 11,014 pinched, followed by Yamaha (8880), Suzuki (7281), Kawasaki (5009) and home town hero Harley-Davidson (3120).
California had the dubious honour being the most light-fingered state with 5927 thefts, followed by Texas on 3950.
