Honda's dollars make sense

Throw away your Monopoly money

Honda has introduced its own form of legal tender - 'Honda Dollars'.

Here's how to play. Now until June 30 this year, customers who purchase an entry-level scooter or motorcycle from a nominated list will receive Honda Dollars, which they can redeem in a variety of ways, such as on servicing, accessories, or maybe as a discount on another bike.

The offer applies to the following bikes: $300 for a VTR250, CBR125 or CBF250; $750 with a CB400 (standard or ABS version) or VT400; $400 on a CRF230F or CRF230L; and $250 on the full range of scooters including the Today50, Lead100, SH150i, SH300i, Scoopy, NSS250 Forza and Silver Wing. The offer is valid on all year models.

The ATVs don't miss out either, with $1500 available on the TRX420FPA, and $500 on the TRX420TM and TRX420FM.

Meanwhile, Honda Australia has just launched its new Team Honda range of merchandise to coincide with the company's 50th year of motorcycle racing. The range includes a pit shirt, high neck t-shirt, winter jacket, men's and women's polos, puffa vest and a 'performance' jacket.

Prices range from $60 for the high neck long-sleeve t-shirts, to $220 for the winter jacket.
