The Honda Valkyrie was a mad machine to begin with, a cruiser powered by a torque-laden 1520cc single camshaft flat six-cylinder engine that belted out ungodly levels of torque. And then there was the Rune...
Anyway, the Valkyrie power cruiser was an unloved motorcycle in its day (though owners are said be quite fanatical), but Japanese tuning firm Whitehouse decided to create their very own idea of how the motorcycle should look, giving the bike more visual appeal.
Looking like it came straight out of a futuristic Japanese sci-fi cartoon, the Whitehouse Ryujin, or Dragon King, is a hulking cruiser designed to dominate the road. Featuring new bodywork, including a stylised front fairing, the new model looks as though it might be a good long distance cruiser, pushing the air around the rider.
It also sees unique exhaust pipe treatment with six end cans in total. The bike tips the scales at 296kg, which isn't too bad for a motorcycle with such a large engine.
No price is given, but the 132Nm beast has a single seat at a height of 730mm, which would make throwing a leg over effortless. But with a 16 litre fuel tank one wonders how far riders would be able to cruise on it...
