Honda Pioneer 700 designed for Aussie farmers
New Honda ag spec side-by-side available only to Australia and New ZealandHonda has released its first UTV developed specifically for the local ag market – the 2017 Honda Pioneer 700, which is due to arrive this month.
The vehicle was created following months of extensive research and consultation with Australian farming communities, and has been designed to withstand the unique and extreme conditions Down Under.
It features electric power steering and a fully automatic transmission which comes with a manual mode that can be activated via a dash-mounted toggle switch.
Paddle shifters can be used to change gears while in manual mode or to override shift points on the fly while in automatic mode.
Honda incorporated its QuickFlip seating design in the four seater Pioneer 700-4 model, which allows operators to fold the two rear seats into the bed to switch between two, three or four-seat configurations.
A new driver seatbelt interlock safety feature ensures drivers wear their seatbelt while operating the machine. Speed is also limited when the seatbelt is not engaged.
New passenger and driver torso bars offer enhanced safety on the vehicle.
The Pioneer 700-2 two-seater model is priced at $A18,499, while the Pioneer 700-4 will cost $A19,999.
