Honda Pioneer 1000 side-by-side

The most powerful model ever in its side-by-side range, and using the company's dual clutch transmission technology

Honda has expanded its Pioneer range of utility side-by-side vehicles with the impending introduction of a 1000cc model to sit alongside the existing 500 and 700cc variants.

The Pioneer 1000 will go on sale locally in late in 2015 in both three and five-seater versions, the latter featuring two rear seats which can be quickly and easily folded away to make a flat bed.

The side-by-side features Honda's dual clutch transmission, combining the performance and flexibility of a manual transmission with the convenience of an automatic. The six-speed, beltless transmission is paired with a 999cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine.
The Pioneer 1000 comes standard with four-wheel-drive, as well as a high-low sub-transmission and four-mode differential lock. The five-person model also features auto-levelling rear suspension and other extras like 14-inch aluminium wheels, 27-inch radial tyres, LED headlights and electric power steering.
