The 2022 Honda NT1100 has officially reached our shores, although Honda Australia admits that stock of the new model is limited.
First unveiled just prior to the EICMA motorcycle show in Milan, Italy, in November 2021, the NT1100 falls into the sportstourer category – a genre that has become relatively limited in recent years thanks in no small part to the rise of the adventure bike niche, especially adventure sports models.

Which Honda sportsbike should I buy?
While the NT1100 is a new model it does in fact adopt the 1084cc parallel-twin and steel semi-double cradle frame of Honda’s own flagship adventure model, the Africa Twin. And, like the Africa Twin, it comes with or without the brand’s Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT), which allows the bike’s gears to be shifted via pushbuttons or dispensed with entirely, in a full auto mode.
The Honda NT1100 rides on a Showa suspension package with 43mm inverted fork and rear monoshock. Adjustment spans preload and rebound damping up front and preload (via remote wheel) at the rear. Wheel travel at each end is 150mm.
Other features include a five-stage adjustable screen, an 820mm seat height, electronic cruise control and heated handlebar grips, while the NT1100’s tech runs to a 6.5-inch TFT screen, Bluetooth connectivity with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, and a choice of three standard ride modes, Urban, Rain and Tour, which can be complemented by up to a further two custom ‘User’ modes.
There’s also three-level Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) – essentially traction control – and keep your gadgets charged and ready, the model comes standard with a 12-volt accessory socket along with a USB charging socket.
The grunty parallel-twin is said to produce 102hp (75kW) and 104Nm, in a package tipping the scales at 238kg (wet).
However, while the Honda NT1100 has officially reached Australian showrooms, don’t expect to see healthy stocks of the new model for some time.
“The NT1100 is beginning to land in the dealer network as we speak although all units will likely be spoken for, so expect floor stock to be limited,” a Honda Motorcycles spokesperson told bikesales.
“Allocation is likely to be drip fed at this stage, so we are unable to say when future shipments may impact availability,” he added.
The 2022 Honda NT1100 is priced from $23,358 ride away (standard clutch, ex-Melbourne) or from $24,394 ride away for the DCT version. The model is backed by a 24-month, unlimited-kilometre factory warranty. See your nearest Honda dealership or click here for more information.
