Honda lops $2K off the VFR800Fi

Venerable sportstourer now tasty value at $13,990

Honda has torn strips off the VFR800Fi retail price, with the esteemed sportstourer now reduced to $13,990.

The new price now compares very favourably with bikes like the Triumph Sprint ST ($14,890) and BMW F 800 ST ($15,800).

The bike -- which still resides in the top 10 of the sportstourer market nine years after it was released -- features a fuel injected V-four VTEC engine, a twin-spar aluminium frame, single-sided Pro-Arm swingarm, a conventional 43mm fork, linked brakes, and matching luggage option.
