Back in July 2010 we reported on a number of Honda deals designed to entice new customers to the fold, one of which was a double deal on the Honda GL1800 Goldwing.
The score? Buyers could pay the 50 per cent now and 50 per cent in two years, but with zero interest on repayments. The second option was 9.99% interest rate and neither option attracted an application fee.
Honda has extended the deal beyond its original deadline due to its "huge success", so until March 31 the twin option deal will still be offered from selected dealers on all new 2011 Goldwing models.
The GL1800 Goldwing has a list price of $43,990 for the Luxury version and $37,990 for standard, not including on-road costs. The luxury model is offered in Caliente Red Metallic, Nebolous Black Metallic and White, while Goldwing standard model is offered only in Caliente Red Metallic.
Some of the features of the big ticket motorcycle include computer-controlled adjustable pre-load damper, a premium audio system with CD stacker, a "user-friendly multifunction information centre" plus long-distance luxury seating for rider and pillion, adjustable heated handlebar grips and a range of tailored luggage accessories (optional).
Dual combined ABS is also part of the package and Luxury models even come with a motorcycle airbag system. Motivation for the big tourer is provided by a torquey flat-six engine, a fuel-injected 1832cc mill. Check out HondaMotorcycles.com.au for more details.
