Honda CTX700 series goes on sale

The trio has arrived, powered by the NC700SA's parallel-twin, liquid-cooled, low-revving engine and with prices starting from $9049

Honda’s new 2014 model CX700 series of road bikes is now available in Australia, “to bring an enjoyable, comfortable and secure experience to riders of all sizes and experience levels”.

There are three choices, all with anti-lock braking: the naked CTX700N for $9049, the faired CTX700 ($9849) and its dual clutch transmission variant, the CTX700D ($10,849).

The CTX stands for Comfort, Technology and Excitement -- the beginning of a new Honda family that will feature various displacements and engine configurations in the future.

The CTX700D uses Honda’s second-generation, automatic six-speed dual clutch transmission which uses two hydraulically controlled clutches to deliver quick and smooth gear changes in a choice of three modes.
