Honda CRF250L coming to Australia

The bike, revealed at the 2011 Tokyo Motor Show, is on its way downunder to take on bikes like the Yamaha TT-R250 and the Suzuki DR-Z250
Honda Australia has confirmed the CRF250L will go on sale locally in the next few months.
The CRF250L, revealed for the first time at the 2011 Tokyo Motor Show, is basically a step-up from the air-cooled CRF230L, with the new bike featuring a 249cc liquid-cooled DOHC single cylinder engine, twin-tube steel frame, aluminium swingarm, inverted front forks and ProLink rear unit.
We’ve heard the engine may be based on the CBR250R’s donk, which we’d be happy about.
Price and availability are still to be confirmed by Honda, and we’re yet to hear whether the CRF230L will be phased out or kept on as a concurrent, cheaper-priced model.
Simmonds formed part of the JDR Motorsports team when it merged with KTM Australia in 2010, before he joined JDR’s American operation last year for a full season in AMA supercross and motocross.
