The entry-level motorcycle world is a cut-throat place right now and Honda has just added fuel to the fire with a couple of tempting offers on its CBR250R.
Buy any limited-edition Repsol CBR250R or any standard 2011-spec CBR250R and you’ll pay $4999 (rideaway) – or $5499 (rideaway) for an ABS version. Honda’s usual pricing is $5510 (plus on-roads) for the standard bike or $6010 (plus on-roads) for the ABS version, so the offer represents a significant saving.
A little strapped for cash? Honda Australia is also offering a deal through Honda MPE Financial Services that will see approved buyers secure finance on the little pocket rocket with a 0 per cent comparison rate.
The offer is only available until December 31, 2013.
Honda’s new-generation, single-cylinder CBR250R was a runaway sales success after its introduction in 2011, but its momentum was stolen by Kawasaki’s Ninja 300 and, more recently, by its own brace of new LAMS-approved, 500cc parallel-twins.
With the parallel-twin-powered Ninja 300 starting at $6199 (standard version, plus on-roads), Honda’s latest offer should give prospective buyers plenty to think about.
