Honda CBR1000RR gets classic livery

Though mechanically unchanged, Honda has updated the Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade with its classic red, white and blue colour scheme

Honda has taken the wraps off its new 2011 CBR1000RR Fireblade, which is exactly the same as the 2010 model save for its colour scheme and white wheels. It's nice to see a classic take on the decals and there's also an HRC sticker present, just for good measure.

The company issued a press statement outlining the Fireblade's changes for the new model year:

"With few changes necessary for the 2011 model release, Honda has focused energy on the production of new graphics and fresh colours and allowed the CBR1000RR to remain the yardstick to which all others are compared.

"The classic colours of the Honda Racing Corporation complement the race-ready profile of the Fireblade and emphasise the high-performance components while the Graphite Black accentuates the sleek speed of the high powered machine. Honda’s high-tech electronically controlled Combined ABS are an option on the Graphite Black to ensure the ultimate in sophisticated sports bike braking performance."

The new-liveried 2011 Honda CBR1000RR sports bike is available at Honda dealers nationally for $17,990 and with e-CABS at $18,990 plus on-road costs.
