Honda’s new generation Super Cub, the C125, will go on sale locally in January 2019 for $6099 rideaway.
Only 72 units will be coming Down Under – a significant number as 72 years ago Soichiro Honda founded the ‘Honda Technical Research Institute,’ which was destined to became the Honda Motor Co.
While the look of the C125 does not deviate from the classic template, it now has an increase in power and torque thanks to the larger air-cooled two-valve 125cc engine, feeding an automatic centrifugal clutch. It’s the same engine which powers the Grom.
There’s a steel frame, 17-inch cast aluminium wheels and ABS-equipped front disc front brake.
The unique story of the Super Cub began in 1958 with the C100, the first version designed by Mr Honda himself. In 2017, the family ticked over 100 million sales.
The C125 will be available in one livery: Pearl Niltava Blue as a nod to the original C100. For more information on the C125, click here.
