The inaugural Honda Red Nation MX Demo Day in Victoria has been declared a success, with punters turning out in healthy numbers to test ride the all-new CRF motocross range.
While the concept has already been employed in other states, the Victorian event marked the public debut of Honda’s new purpose-built motocross track at its HART (Honda Australia Rider Training) facility in Somerton.

Riders not only had the opportunity to test-ride the new Honda CRF450R, CRF250R and CRF150R, but they also got to experience the new track, which Honda Brand Manager, Cameron Cuthill, says will play host to many Honda events and initiatives in the future.
“The new track was well-received by beginners and experts, juniors and seniors, men and women,” said Cuthill. “The track gives Honda the opportunity to run demo days, riding schools, media days and testing. It’s a necessary inclusion for Honda and will be well-used across a range of activities.”
Honda Australia’s General Manager of Sales, Tony Hinton, was pleased with the success of the event and commended the efforts of all involved.
“During some challenging times, we have managed to run Honda’s Red Nation MX Demo Day across three states,” said Hinton. “Over 250 riders have ridden the new 2022 range and we are finalising plans to take the Red Nation MX Demo Day to NSW and QLD.”
Details on future Red Nation MX Demo Days are yet to be announced.
