Honda has announced that it has expanded the functionality of its CRF1100L Africa Twin range with the addition of Android Auto.
Android Auto allows users of Android-platform smartphones to integrate their phone and many of its functions with their vehicle's multimedia unit.
"With clear visual display and easy-to-use voice commands, it makes it easy to access Google Map navigation and your favourite music, media, and messaging apps," says Honda.
The Honda CRF1100L Africa Twin and its Adventure Sports variants were already equipped with Apple CarPlay, so this latest development provides owners with full smartphone functionality, regardless of their chosen smartphone platform.
"Current owners of Africa Twins (all CRF1100L) will be able to have the new [Android Auto] functionality installed on their bike at their local Honda Motorcycles dealership," says Honda Australia, adding that the Android Auto feature will be included pre-installed on future Africa Twin models.
