Honda 450 Rally

The successor to the first RALLY model, which will be used by Honda's factory team in the 2014 and also sold to other outfits as a production bike

Honda has unveiled its latest 450 RALLY bike, which will contest the 2014 Dakar Rally through Argentina, Bolivia and Chile.

Team HRC returned to the Dakar Rally in January 2013 for the first time in 24 years with the CRF450 RALLY, based on Honda’s commercial CRF450X enduro racing model. Helder Rodrigues brought home the bike in seventh position.

The event generated valuable data in key areas such as engine output, aerodynamic performance, durability and maintenance requirements, which was used as the basis for further design modifications and enhancements resulti9ng in the updated and fuel-injected CRF450 RALLY, which will also be sold as a production bike to other teams.

Team HRC will participate in 2013 Morocco Rally, starting on October 13, with the CRF450 RALLY, using the same combination of five riders and five machines for the 2014 Dakar Rally.
