Former Australian off-road champion Chris Hollis will be back on Yamaha in 2014, riding alongside Daniel Milner in the Craig Dack-managed factory team.
Hollis, from New South Wales, returns to the brand where he made his name in off-road racing, and he will campaign a WR450F in 2014. KTM mounted, Hollis was second outright in the 2013 Australian Off-Road Championship and first in the E2 class.
“Although CDR Yamaha is new to the off-road scene, it has already set the benchmark and I feel good about signing with the team and my 2014 prospects,” said Hollis. “I’m back on the WR450F, which is a bike I gel with and have had great success with in the past. We have already started some testing and development with the bike and I’m really enjoying riding it.
“It’s also pretty cool that me and Dan Milner are on the same team as we get along really well and have a healthy friendship and rivalry that will only help us improve.”
In 2014, CDR Yamaha will focus on the Australian Off Road Championship, the Australian Four-Day Enduro as well as selected EnduroX events.
Hollis’ former team KTM recently announced that reigning world enduro champion Matt Phillips will be riding alongside Toby Price and Peter Boyle in 2014.
