Australia's former world champ Chris Holder's injury recovery has been boosted by the news his wrist was dislocated and not broken after a crash in practice for round three of the Australian Speedway Championship in Undera (Vic) on January 7.
Specialists in Melbourne found that Holder had just dislocated the bone and bent the plate inserted when he broke it on June 20, 2014.
He will miss the final round of the Aussie series at Kurri Kurri on January 10, but the diagnosis is a huge boost as he gets ready for the start of the European season in March.
He tweeted: “All fixed up. Was better then expected. Was just dislocated and bent the plate. Doc was happy with it all. Thanks for the messages.”
The news comes as a real lift to a rider who has seen three seasons affected by injury and will be keen to ensure he completes 2015 with a clean bill of health.
