Aussie Chris Holder's fourth place finish in the Polish round of the 2016 Speedway Grand Prix series on May 14 has seen him move to the top of the standings.
The 2012 world champion is now on 26pts after round two of 11, ahead of two heavyweights in reigning world champion Tai Woffinden (24) and American Greg Hancock (24).
In front of 52,000 spectators, Woffinden was victorious in the Polish final ahead of Hancock, 2015 Warsaw winner Matej Zagar and Holder. Australia's second SGP rider, Jason Doyle, could only scrape together 5pts in Poland, and he's now eighth in the overall standings.
Round three will be held in Denmark on June 11, and the finale will be held at Etihad Stadium in Melbourne on Saturday, October 22.
