Yamaha has given its Tracer 9 GT+ a few new tricks for 2025, including the brand’s automatic manual transmission system.
Powered by the proven 890cc three-cylinder CP3 engine, the Tracer 9 GT+ will be the only Tracer model coming to Australia in 2025.
The bike features a six-axis IMU with lean-sensitive traction control, slide control, wheelie control, and brake control systems.
It rolls on a CF aluminium die-cast Deltabox frame and runs lightweight wheels and Bridgestone Battlax Sport Touring T32 tyres.
Smartphone connectivity is possible with the 7-inch TFT display, while new illuminated switchgear and new self-cancelling turn signals have also been added.

The premium machine also features electronic suspension, an electronically adjustable windshield, heated grips with 10 levels of heat, a tyre pressure monitoring system, a quickshifter, ride modes, adaptive cruise control, and an integrated storage box with built-in USB port.
The Tracer 9 GT+ is also the first Yamaha to feature vehicle hold control.
But the big news is the Y-AMT transmission which offers users the choice between a fully automatic mode, or finger operated manual shifting with an auto clutch.
Pricing and availability are yet to be revealed, but the new machine should make its way to Australia in 2025.
