KTM has pulled the covers off the all-new 1390 Super Adventure S for 2025.
The road-focused adventure tourer comes equipped with a host of updates, including an upsized engine with added “Camshift” technology.
KTM has also announced an EVO version of the bike, which will debut the AMT (automated manual transmission) system, however it has been confirmed that it won't be available in Australia.
Engine capacity has been boosted from 1300cc to 1350cc, with performance improved to 170hp and 145NM. That represents an increase of 10hp and 7Nm respectively.
While the choice of the name Camshift might raise a few eyebrows over the border at BMW, the technology is added to the Super Adventure S after debuting on the 1390 Super Duke R earlier this year.
In theory, the Camshift technology should improve rideability at lower revs, increase peak performance, lower emissions, and reduce fuel consumption.
Elsewhere, the new 1390 Super Adventure S gets the latest-generation WP semi-active suspension, which has been tuned for better precision and “consistent damping behaviour at higher frequencies”.
Other featured tech includes the all-new portrait-style 8-inch touchscreen dash with a brand-new user interface, as well fine-tuned and radar-enabled active cruise control, brake assistance, collision warning, and distance warning.
The EVO version also gets a unique addition to the radar system in the form of “Stop and Go”. It works with the AMT technology to bring the motorcycle to a complete stop if a vehicle ahead stops. The bike will then resume usual motion when the vehicle in front continues.
Styling and ergonomics have also been overhauled, with new bodywork, a new seat, new LED lighting, new windshield, and a new storage compartment.
Australian pricing is yet to be revealed, but the first units are expected to be available from May 2025.
