The Amazon Heart Thunder ride will see 16 women from Australia, the United States and the United Kingdom, depart Sydney's Willoughby on Friday October 13 for a seven-day motorcycle run to Brisbane.
It will be a great send off – the sound of roaring engines, the cheers of family, friends and supporters, along with the visual spectacle of the women riding in unison past some of Sydney's most famous landmarks.
Along the way, the group will pass through towns including The Entrance, Newcastle, Taree, Nambucca Heads, Coffs Harbour, Ballina, Byron Bay, Surfers Paradise, Australia Zoo, Maroochydore and Mooloolaba (route and map attached).
The riders will be hosting public information evenings at Harley-Davidson dealerships where local communities will have the opportunity to meet the riders, hear their stories and help raise money for breast cancer research.
Harley-Davidson has donated the use of the motorbikes along with leather jackets for all riders.
Harley-Davidson Marketing Manager Adrian O'Donoughue said the iconic motorcycle brand was proud to help deliver the ride of a lifetime.
"Our brand encourages people to live their dreams, promotes the idea of freedom and provides an escape from their day-to-day lives - and that's exactly what this trip is about for the Amazon Heart Riders."
