V8 Supercars outfit Brad Jones Racing has partnered with Harley-Davidson Australia and New Zealand, further solidifying the relationship between the American cruiser giant and Australia's premiere motorsport code.
US truck manufacturer Freightliner already sponsors BJR driver Nick Percat, and Freightliner also supplies the prime mover that hauls Harley-Davidson's mobile merchandise store and H-D1 Custom Shop around Australia.
Harley-Davidson Australia & New Zealand Managing Director, Nigel Keough, said he was elated with the tie-up.
"We're thrilled to announce our partnership with Brad Jones Racing for the upcoming season," he said.
"There's a strong connection between Harley-Davidson fans and motorsport fans, particularly Supercars.
"Brad Jones Racing is an authentic, enthusiastic team that has its origins in bond and family, which resonate through the Harley-Davidson brand and riding community.
"And of course we have a great association with Freightliner, who are one of the team's principal sponsors."
The Brad Jones Racing team is already off to a solid start in this year's V8 Supercars Championship, with Percat finishing Race 1 at the season's opening round, Adelaide's Clipsal 500, in seventh place. His fortunes, however, took a turn for the worse in Race 2, with the 28-year-old bowing out with a DNF.
As such, Percat will be heading into Round 2 of the season, to be held in Melbourne alongside the Australian round of the F1 Championship, with 96 points and in 19th position.
