Harley-Davidson’s Harley Demo Days competition has been run and won, with Townsville (Qld) local Tony Lane set to enjoy the spoils of victory – namely the use of a Harley-Davidson Fat Bob for a month, plus a $1000 fuel voucher and a helmet, jacket and gloves.
Mr Lane was just one of many individuals who flocked to Harley dealerships around the country from September 2012 to January 2013 to test ride a new Harley model. Participants simply had to register for the Harley Demo Days prize by filling out an online form and answering (in 25 words or less) the question: “What would you be prepared to give up for a Harley-Davidson motorcycle?”
Mr Lane’s answer – “I gave my soul to rock and roll, but I’ll give up my life for a Harley” – was the pick of the bunch from a national field, and he recently collected his Fat Bob from Townsville’s Sun City Harley-Davidson. That’s Tony seated on the Fat Bob, collecting the bike from Sun City’s Nick Lazaredes (centre) and Brent Storey.
This was the fifth instalment of the annual Harley Demo Days (formerly known as Metal Mayhem) programme, and it offered potential Harley buyers the chance to test ride one of 15 new Harley-Davidson models.
