Harley-Davidson unites to help those in need

The inaugural Harley-Davidson United We Ride event will run across Australia and New Zealand

Harley-Davidson is planning to bring together its loyal community of riders across Australia and New Zealand for a special fundraising event.

Raising much-needed funds for the Salvation Army, the inaugural United We Ride event on September 6 will see Harley owners band together in various locations around Australia and New Zealand for a synchronised ride.

The Salvation Army is an international charity that offers support and hope to those less fortunate. Services and programs provided by the organisation include emergency relief and community welfare, alcohol and drug addiction services, financial counselling, aged care, rural and remote living support, family and domestic violence support, housing and homelessness, youth support, and much more.

United We Ride participants are encouraged to register and donate, with the top fundraisers be awarded a series of prizes. The highest individual fundraiser will get a Harley-Davidson X350, a double corporate pass to the Australian MotoGP, and several products and vouchers from H-D, Quad Lock, Michelin, and Allianz.

Second and third place will also get MotoGP tickets and vouchers, while the top fundraising team will get a $2000 H-D gift voucher.

A list of ride locations can be found at www.unitedwerideanz.com. The event will take place on September 6 and will start at 11am AEST and 1pm New Zealand time.
