Harley-Davidson Sportster Bomb Runner
This custom bike from well-respected Taiwan custom shop Rough Crafts takes the HD Sportster to a unique placeRough Crafts is a Taiwan-based studio that specialises in building handmade objects such as furniture, street art and of course motorcycles.
Gaining more traction in Europe and the USA for its unique motorcycle designs, Winston Yeh is the man behind Rough Crafts' latest design, the Bomb Runner, which features a dark-iron motif that is given weight via the chunky rubber matched to Rolad Sands Design wheels.
Based on a 2011 Harley-Davidson Forty-Eight 1200, Rough Crafts has replaced much of the bike's body work with bespoke items, including the tank, front fender and engine casing and seat section.
The result is a more aggressive and altogether sportier design that combines with a lovingly bent two-into-one exhaust system. Yeh has also bucked the trend of applying copious amounts of heat tape, instead opting for a stylized metal heat shield where the rider's right leg falls.
Long rear shocks lift the single-seat tail of the bike slightly, and the general attention to detail - from the cylinder heads to the front bars - is impressive.
With moderately improved engine performance, the Bomb Runner also gets upgraded Performance Machine brakes to improve stopping power.
